In total there are 54 MAPMTs as shown in color boxes.
For discussion purpose, lets use row ID and column ID of MAPMT to identify a MAPMT.
The bottom left corner corresponds to (1,1) and top right corner corresponds
to (16,16), with first number the column(or x) and second number the row (or y).
A mounting board ID is identified with MAPMT ID of its bottom left corner,
independent on whether the MAPMT really presents or not.
In total we need 12 MAPMT base boards and 12 MAPMT hybrids. The proposed location of base boards are shown as 4×4 hatched boxes. On each mounting boards there are 8 connectors output signals to MAPMT hybrids. Two MAPMTs in the same column are grouped into one connector. The MAPMTs with same color in the plot are connected to the same MAPMT hybrids.
Earlier versions could be found in mapmt_layout_1.ps, mapmt_layout_2.ps, mapmt_layout_3.ps, mapmt_layout_4.ps, and mapmt_layout_5.ps.
