BASIC troubleshooting:
-
Equipment should be tested prior to use, especially when it relates to a critical function. Many problems may not be able to be solved in a short period of time.
-
Power cycle the polycom and make sure both icons on the TV turn from blinking yellow to GREEN. If not, there's a wiring problem.
-
No microphone on our end? Check that both microphones are plugged in. If the desktop microphone is MUTED, then BOTH microphones become muted! If you want the wireless mic and NOT the desktop mic, then the desktop mic must be unplugged (brown phone like connector)... and be sure to plug back in when you're done!
-
Wireless mic plugged in but not working? Check that the base is getting a GREEN signal LED light. If not, it's not receiving a signal. Then check both ends are turned on, base plugged in, and wireless has good battery. Again, if the base isn't getting a GREEN LED light, it's not getting the signal from the wireless pack.
-
If there's any problem with the netmeeting, smartboard, or multi-point server, try rebooting the computers on the cart first.
