Installing Maple 7
Send your install checklist
to me if there are any further details which should be included here.
Insert the CD and install the
"Single User" version.
When prompted for a serial
number, enter the one on the cd case.
Linux Installation:
-
login as root
-
insert cdrom
-
mount /mnt/cdrom
-
cd /mnt/cdrom/unix
-
./install
-
choose default install location
of /usr/local/maple
-
answer yes to the type of binaries
you need installed (probably yes for Red Hat Linux, no for the remainder)
-
enter the serial number on the
cd case
-
Start maple with /usr/local/maple/bin/maple
or /usr/local/maple/bin/xmaple (you can add the maple path to your startup
by editing the PATH statement, probably in .bash_aliases)
Windows Installation:
-
insert cdrom
-
open cdrom and go to /windows/singleuser/
-
run setup in that directory
-
choose single user profile
-
enter the serial number on the
cd case
If you encounter problems installing
either Maple 6 or the License File,
please contact your local reseller
or Waterloo Maple's Technical Support
