Installing Maple 7

Send your install checklist to me if there are any further details which should be included here.

Insert the CD and install the "Single User" version.
When prompted for a serial number, enter the one on the cd case.
 
 

Linux Installation:

• login as root
• insert cdrom
• mount /mnt/cdrom
• cd /mnt/cdrom/unix
• ./install
• choose default install location of /usr/local/maple
• answer yes to the type of binaries you need installed (probably yes for Red Hat Linux, no for the remainder)
• enter the serial number on the cd case
• Start maple with /usr/local/maple/bin/maple or /usr/local/maple/bin/xmaple (you can add the maple path to your startup by editing the PATH statement, probably in .bash_aliases)

Windows Installation:

• insert cdrom
• open cdrom and go to /windows/singleuser/
• run setup in that directory
• choose single user profile
• enter the serial number on the cd case
