Quick Scan to public drive on server:
- Enter ID at copier, and press the green ID key
- Press the Send button at the top
- Press the "One Touch Buttons" at the bottom
- Press "scan2server"
- Load job and press start
- If manually placing documents, press Done when you are finished (it is very quiet in this mode and the "Pages: 1" shows the "number of pages already scanned"
You're done! If there's an error, the copier will print out an error page within a minute.
If you haven't already, map a network drive to \\Physics\Public and look in the directory \Scans
The name of the file is stored by date (ie: 20040616154621.PDF 2004June16th, 15:46:21)
Note: Move your PDF's immediately. They will be automatically deleted at 4am every morning!
Add your settings to address book:
- Enter ID at copier, and press the green ID key
- Press the Additional Functions button to the right of the screen
- Press "Address Book Settings"
- Press "Store/Edit Address Book"
- Press "Store New Address"
- Press "Email"
- Press "Name" then enter your "-email" (ie: Kirkpatrick-email)
- Press "Email" and enter your full email address
- To finish, press OK, OK, DONE
- Continue if you would like to add an address book for your personal file space on the server:
- Press "File"
- Press "Name" then enter your "-server" (ie: Kirkpatrick-server)
- Press "Protocol" and select "Windows (SMB)"
- Press "Hostname" and enter "\\physics\username" (ie: \\physics\dkirk )
- If you would like PDF scans to be put in a subfolder, Press "File Path" and enter directory (ie: \scans )
- Press "User" and enter your physics username
- Press "Password" and enter your physics password
- Press OK, and DONE several times until back at the main menu
- Your address book settings are now stored for future use
Scan to email or personal directory on server:
- Enter ID at copier, and press the green ID key
- Press the Send button at the top
- Press "Address Book"
- Select location(s) you would like the document scanned to then press OK
- Load job and press start
- If manually placing documents, press Done when you are finished (it is very quiet in this mode and the "Pages: 1" shows the "number of pages already scanned"
You're done! If there's an error, the copier will print out an error page within a minute.
Additional options:
- To preview your document before sending, select the "Preview" icon (lower right)
- To scan double sided originals, select the "Two-sided original" icon on the Send setup page (right side)
- To change settings, such as copy ratio, Press the Scan Settings drop-down list -> press [Option] (upper right side), then make your selections
