WISE features a lecture series that brings successful female scholars who excel in sciences, mathematics, and engineering to the Syracuse University campus. These lectures are designed to make students and faculty aware of the possibilities that exist for women in these fields. Speakers also meet with undergraduate and graduate students to answer any questions they have or help them with any concerns.

WISE also aims to bring together undergraduate women in the sciences and engineering. These women are given the opportunity to interact through the lecture series, a mentoring program, and a learning community.
