There are a number of programs for majoring in physics, including the more structured B.S. program and the more flexible B.A. program. The biomedical option is for those interested in medical school or the life sciences, but who also want an education in the physical sciences, which play an important role in biomedical techniques. Engineering physics is a program within the School of Engineering that combines engineering with a strong background in physical principles, as is useful in fields such as the aerospace or semiconductor industries.
