Quantum Geometry Phenomenology: A Discrete Machian Model
Abstract:
A new model of quantum gravity phenomenology is discussed. The model is based on two hypotheses: (i) non-uniformities in the overall matter distribution affect the inertial properties of particles and (ii) spatial geometry is discrete. Using the framework of effective field theory, the fermionic theory is developed. The resulting theory contains Lorentz invariance violating terms and the non-relativistic effects are explored.
