HIGH ENERGY THEORY / RELATIVITY / COSMOLOGY SEMINARS

Fall 2006

Friday November 10 Seminar :

Lam Hui (Columbia University)

Title : Stealing Einstein's Blunder(s)

Abstract:

I will discuss several well known observational methods to measure dark energy, including supernovae Ia, the integrated Sachs Wolfe effect and gravitational lensing, and point out some important features/problems that are often overlooked. I will also address the issue of distinguishing dark energy from theories of modified gravity.
