Kamesh has a long-time interest in the symmetry properties of fundamental particles and their interactions. He has made important contributions in this field. His recent interests are in the general area of Grand Unified Theories (for the electromagnetic, weak and strong interactions), with special emphasis on replication of the families of quarks and leptons. He also studied Kaluza-Klein-like ideas for describing the abelian and non-abelian magnetic monopoles coupled to gravity and noncommutative geometry applied to particle physics. |
