Booting PoP ----------- Simeon Warner - 16Oct98 Since several drives are NFS mounted around PoP and I haven't spent time getting the clients to retry mounting appripriately, it makes life easiest if the PoP nodes are powered up in a particular order: pop01 first (let it boot fully) pop08 second po009 third then all the rest This should leave mounts working for everything except pop01 mounting 08/09 and pop08 mounting 09. This can be fixed by logging in as root on pop01 and doing `pop.exec "mount -a"'. NOTE - pop05 seems a bit funny about rebooting, sometimes it reports problems with the CDROM. This can be got around by turning off the power and trying again. Perhaps this is bad BIOS setup? Doesn't seem to cause any other problems. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
