PoP - a Pile of Pentiums

|
PoP: a Pile-of-Pentiums, a Pile-of-PCs, a Pile-of-Processors, or even
a Beowulf-class supercomputer. PoP is a collection of dual-Pentium II
PCs running Linux (dual-penguins perhaps?) with moderately fast
networking between them. Our aim is to provide a cost-effective
computational resource for the Physics Department at Syracuse University.
PoP was born on 7 June 1998, we have pictures of
PoP's somewhat protracted birth.

We also have, but perhaps don't maintain well, a collection of
links to related resources.
