Example VRML membrane models
Here are two VRML worlds generated from the output of a crystalline
(fixed connectivity) membrane simulation.
- Flat mesh - this shows the mesh before
simulation and how the edge simplices (triangles) are color coded.
You can see that we are using a hexagonal mesh in this case. The
edges have free boundary conditions.
- Partly crumpled mesh - here we see the
membrane after thermalisation. The coupling constant is such that the
membrane isn't completely flat but starting to crumple.
