ENERGY IN THE WORLD
Energy Production and Consumption in the World
Here is a list of graphs about energy production and consumption in the World.
See glossary for definitions of terms. In most graphs,
energy is given in units of quadrillion of BTU. 1 BTU is approximately 1,000 Joules;
a quadrillion is one million times one billion. To find out how big or small these quantities
are, see the Table of Energies, where estimates are given of energy content of common
objects and/or phenomena.
