Final exam
The final exam is at 5:30 PM, Monday, May 3, in Room 204. The cover pages for the exam are available under the supplementary notes. The review session is at 5:00 PM, Sunday, May 2, in Room 204.

The exam covers the whole semester. About 60% of the weight will be on time-dependent perturbation theory (the material since Exam #2, including adiabatic perturbations, sudden perturbations, first-order theory, Fermi's golden rule, electromagnetism in quantum mechanics, transitions of a quantum system interacting with both classical and quantum baths, spontaneous electromagnetic radiation.) See earlier exam review information for content from earlier in the semester, though of course there will not be time to go into as much depth into the earlier topics. There may be questions that integrate material from different parts of the semester.

Text & First Meeting
The course text is R. Shankar's Principles of Quantum Mechanics, which was used in Quantum Mechnaics I, so most students should already have the book. The syllabus and calendar are now available. Our first meeting is Tuesday, January 13, at 11:30 AM in Room Physics 105.
