Textbook: Introduction to Quantum mechanics 2nd edition by David J. Griffiths (Prentice Hall)

Course Philosophy

The class will consist of a mixture of lecture, discussion on applications and cultural topics related to the course material, and problem solving. Most of the syllabus is focused on the application of quantum mechanics to physical systems: we will explore the foundation of solid state physics, atomic physics, and nuclear and elementary particle physics. We will conclude with some classical puzzles that have intrigued physicists and philosophers for quite some time
