Modern Instrumentation

Welcome to the Modern Instrumentation web site!
This course is an introduction to the signal processing and data analysis techniques presently used in several different physics research and modern medicine research laboratories. It will give you some background on fundamentals of analog electronics, data acquisition systems and on the instrumentation commonly used in electronics research laboratories. You will be able to design GUIs and data acquisition algorithm building your virtual instrument with Labview software. The course is hands-on and your observations are the starting point of your learning process.
I hope that this course will be enjoyable for you, but you should be prepared for some struggle and the occasional frustration that are unavoidable companions of research in experimental physics.
