Science and Computers -- PHY307/607
Graduate Grades
Homeworks, Projects, Exams
- A short homework assignment will be set every other week. This
will be given out on Thursday and will be due back by the following Thursday.
This homework
may be associated closely with a lab and may involve computer work.
- In addition to the undergraduate labs you will be expected to hand in
one further project selected from a list of graduate projects. These
will be more advanced both in their physics content and
the numerical algorithms and programming required. It will
probably be convenient for you to write these in C rather than
Java.
- A midterm and final exam will be set.
Final Grades
Your final grade will be computed according to the following recipe:
- Homeworks : 20%
- Exam(s) : 10%
- Labs : 30%
- Each extended project : 20% (total 2 extended projects : 40%)
