Course Mechanics
Lecture times
Tuesday and Thursday 11:30 am to 12:50 pm in the Physics
Building room 106. Thursdays we will meet in the Physics
cluster (rm 115) to work on hands-on labs and computer projects.
Cluster times
We have a reserved time slot on every
Thursday from 11:30 to 12:50 pm throughout the
semester in the Physics cluster (room 115 -- 1st floor Physics
Building).
Computing Facilities
Everyone will
have access to an IBM PC running Windows NT. The machines will
also have software for creating and compiling simple
Java programs.
A Java compatible browser (Netscape 4.0 or higher) will
also be available. Programs and work
for labs and projects can be stored either on your SUnix
account or
on floppy disks between labs.
